Tangy lemon, bold mustard and a warming kick of chilli—our Classic Lemon Avakai brings a little Andhra comfort to your everyday meals. Made without garlic, this homemade lemon pickle is full of flavour and nostalgia.

A spoonful beside curd rice is our favourite way to enjoy it. Try it with upma, pongal, plain yogurt—or whatever feels like home to you.

What goes into it

Lemon, fenugreek powder, mustard powder, chilli powder, sunflower oil, salt and asafoetida.

Contains no garlic. No added preservatives.

Sizes & packaging

  • 100g and 250g: Plastic jars for local use, travel and courier orders.

  • 500g for Chennai local orders: Supplied in a jar.

  • 250g for courier orders or air travel: Packed in a two jars of 250gms  to help reduce leakage.

Storage

Refrigerate on arrival and keep refrigerated. Always use a clean, dry spoon.

If you are bored of the usual pickles, it's time to try out the delicacies from Upala's kitchen. My personal favorite is Ginger Jaggery Bomb which is a tangy missile with any food or alcohol. I must say, for someone who's not a big fan of pickles and pachadis you guys blew my mind. This is my second order from you guys and your pickles, pachadis and podis are absolutely amazing. Today i had the mango Ginger Pachadi, Minty Pudina Pachadi and fried Garlic pickle with some crispy dosa. It was absolutely delicious. I had ordered the finger jaggery bomb the last time with a few podis. They were really good too. Thankyou guys. Can't wait for my next order.
