Nalla means Black in telugu, which is named after roasting the whole black urad dhal. Nalla kaaram podi is a healthier version of the regular idly podi . Idly podi is made with urad dhal and masala ! Nalla kaaram podi is made with whole urad dhal with its black husk . So the health benefit of its skin is not lost and gives it that extra flavour .

Contains garlic.

Great with hot idlies or dosas !

Use along with gingely oil or ghee to get that all authentic taste.

Refrigerate to make it last as crunchy and fresh even for 2-3 months.

If you are bored of the usual pickles, it's time to try out the delicacies from Upala's kitchen. My personal favorite is Ginger Jaggery Bomb which is a tangy missile with any food or alcohol. My friends love it when I take it along to the parties. High quality ingredients, lovely owners - what more to ask for !

I must say, for someone who's not a big fan of pickles and pachadis you guys blew my mind. This is my second order from you guys and your pickles, pachadis and podis are absolutely amazing. Today i had the mango Ginger Pachadi, Minty Pudina Pachadi and fried Garlic pickle with some crispy dosa. It was absolutely delicious. I had ordered the finger jaggery bomb the last time with a few podis. They were really good too. Thankyou guys. Can't wait for my next order.
